Title : Product Manager (Water)

Location : Cikarang, Indonesia.

This position is based in East Jakarta Industrial Park, Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java 17550 and can include some international travel.

Role description:

Based in our Manufacturing and R&D Center for APAC region, (Cikarang, Indonesia) and reporting to the Director of Product Management for Water Devices, you join the product management team in charge of Mechanical Residential and Industrial Meters. You are responsible for the strategic orientation of the product roadmap for this product line in cooperation with the European team, and you are accountable for the profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Own all aspects of product management from defining requirements and development through to end-of-life.

• Define product roadmaps and requirements to deliver products in APAC region ensuring the portfolio operates at target profits.

• Work in cross-functional teams with as sales and bid teams, engineering, and operations to grow the business and ensure efficient operations.

• Take ownership of the communication of the portfolio (internal & external), give product presentations to customers, represent Itron in global events.

• Prepare business case evaluation during and after project execution.

• Ensure regular reporting and portfolio reviews to all levels of the organisation, from project level to executive.

• Support creation of technical documentations (product description, brochure) and update internal systems (create and maintain part numbers, update pricelists).

• Support the introduction in APAC market of other products from Europe in cooperation with the Product Management Team in Eu.

• Be accountable for profitability (educate engineers on design-to-cost, overview cost, define price lists) and

• Be the expert of Metrology technical aspects in particular to support of Indonesian market standards evolutions.

• Analyse sales, monitor costs and competitors and coordinate the prices with the sales teams, ensure right positioning compared to competitors.

• Install a Business Culture in the technical teams by supporting them in their reflections of "design to cost" and profitability.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or in Marketing.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Product management B to B in APAC region, preferably with product related with the water distribution cycle.

• Extensive experience in strategic portfolio development to expand business beyond existing solutions.

• Knowledge in metering, metrology, utility business required.

• Knowledge of smart metering and communicating products is a plus.

• Fluent English is mandatory.

• You are result-oriented and proactive.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well good presentation skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in the organization.

• Ability to support/manage projects in an international matrix environment and to collaborate with people from diverse cultures

• Organized and flexible, you can handle several projects at the same time in an international environment.

• Analytical and strategic way of thinking.

• Problem-solving mindset.

• Curious, self-starter with strong initiative, adaptability
