Job Description
The CNA/NURS 129 Instructional Assistant is a certified Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who plays a crucial role in supporting the instructional process within both the Nursing Assistant (CNA) and NURS 129 labs. This position is designed to enhance the educational experience for both instructors and students by ensuring the labs are well-prepared and fully equipped for effective learning and assessment of clinical skills.
Responsibilities:
Lab Preparation and Maintenance:
The Instructional Assistant will assist instructors by setting up the labs for skills teaching and testing sessions, ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are ready and accessible. The role also involves ensuring the labs are consistently stocked with essential supplies, maintaining an organized environment to support effective learning and skill development. In addition, the Instructional Assistant will monitor and maintain lab equipment, ensuring its functionality and safety to facilitate a smooth and efficient learning experience.
Student Support:
The Instructional Assistant will play a key role in facilitating student learning by creating an environment that supports effective practice and skill development. By providing guidance and assistance during lab activities and skill assessments, the Assistant helps students build and refine their clinical competencies. This support is crucial in fostering a productive and successful learning atmosphere, where students can achieve their educational goals.
Proposed Hours:
8-10 Hours a week for 10 weeks (Mon/Wed 10am-12pm, Fridays 9am-12pm; Open Labs, Testing)
Salary:
This part time position is offering $20.

This is an on-going pool of qualified individuals interested in part-time, temporary non-tenure track instructional opportunities at Truckee Meadows Community College. These opportunities are part-time only and will not be continued beyond the ending date.
