About the Role:

Tubi is building a world class streaming platform and we are looking for designers to join our Product Design team within the Viewer Organization.

As a Staff Product Designer, you will lead the user experience across all mobile and touch devices, shaping the design strategy for Tubi’s mobile ecosystem. In this role, you will drive the strategic direction of our mobile platform, delivering highly crafted, user-centered experiences that align with both business goals and user needs. You will be responsible for the end-to-end product design (UX, UI, prototyping) for features on Android and iOS, providing both tactical and strategic solutions. Collaborating closely with Research, Product, and Engineering, you will help define Tubi’s mobile engagement vision and ensure the creation of innovative, best-in-class experiences.

This role is hybrid in San Francisco (with 2-3 days in the office per week).

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Research, Product and Engineering to identify, prioritize and scope new opportunities
  • Generate user flows, prototypes and other design artifacts that help communicate your solution hypothesis
  • Tackle complex technical challenges by crafting elegant and scalable design solutions across Tubi’s touch-first experiences, that are aligned with best practices and fully compliant with engineering and accessibility requirements
  • Garner approval from cross-functional stakeholders, manage and incorporate feedback, and drive towards consensus
  • Collaborate with Research and Data Science to generate insights and use data to measure the impact of your design decisions
  • Work autonomously to identify new opportunities and influence your pod’s product roadmap
  • Serve as a thought leader across the mobile pod, pushing the quality bar and influencing processes and standards to enhance pod performance and business outcomes
  • Mentor designers to elevate craft, foster accountability, and build a high-performance culture

Qualifications:

  • Typically ~8-10 years of experience in building digital products
  • A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design and prototyping skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex problems through elegant solutions
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Experience working on mobile platforms that reach millions of users
  • Ability to champion collaborative product-making and partner closely with Engineering and Product teams
  • Experience with experiment-driven product development: using data and research to understand the needs, behaviors and motivations of users
  • Strong systems design experience with creating, scaling and maintaining design systems and design to code workflows
  • Experience with mentoring team members, elevating others, and influencing without authority
  • Proficiency with industry standard design tools like Figma and ProtoPie

Skills that will set you apart:

  • Deep understanding of iOS and Android’s interface guidelines, and ability to evaluate tradeoffs between native and custom implementations
  • Proficiency with functional prototyping using Swift, Origami, Play (or similar)
