About You and The Role
Zipline is seeking Maintenance Technicians who have sound judgment, excellent interpersonal skills and high standards. Success will require attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology.
What You'll Do
You will be responsible for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, ensuring the aircraft conforms to high standards, is in safe operating condition and that all procedures are followed and documented appropriately. This candidate is expected to work closely with engineering, flight operations, and other teams to deliver on their assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
What You'll Bring
Basic Qualifications
- Adhere to and perform work in accordance with Zipline’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP)
- Perform UAS Maintenance in accordance with Zipline’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Federal Aviation Administration regulations
- Basic engineering knowledge: mechanical, electrical and software
- Mechanical and electrical integration and assembly experience
- Experience performing precision work with hand tools
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with customers, resolving inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience
- Must be able to support shift work including, but not limited to days/evenings, weekends, etc.
- Must be able to travel 5 %- 10%, as necessary
- Will experience 80% + travel in first 3 months including offsite/remote training
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Ability to lift and or move up to 55 pounds
- Must have a valid US Driver's License
- Must be able to receive Repairmen Certification
- This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive opportunity, and is therefore subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Remote pilot certificate (P107) or manned certificate
- Experience in the development of manuals, training materials, and operational procedures for sUAS operations
- Airframe and Powerplant Certifications
