Position Summary

3M seeks a Treasury Compliance Lead to support its growing global operations. The person will work both within the Treasury and with a diverse set of cross-functional stakeholders along with external banking partners and auditors. This position requires a self-starter who will audit the Treasury processes, submit reports for senior Treasury management, performing Sox testing, designing controls, helping the treasury in mitigating risks. The successful candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity, large data sets, and balancing multiple competing priorities. The role will require flexibility to work in various time zones.

Treasury operations in 3M encompass, issue of shares, repurchases, issue of commercial papers, Fx transactions, Hedging, Derivatives, Swaps, In-house Bank, account opening/closing, bank portal management, Bank portal administration, Bank guarantees, Direct Debits, transactions using TMS (Treasury Management Solutions), and many more.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Doing the audit of treasury activities and submitting the reports to the Treasury Leaders.
  • Performing Sox testing of various treasury activities and ensuring compliance to Sox requirements.
  • Provide support to the Treasury operations team and offer guidance in addressing audit observations identified during SOX and External audit reviews, ensuring timely remediation.
  • Supporting Corporate Treasury needs and other ad hoc requests.
  • Developing and maintaining operational processes through documentation updates and cross-training. Provide broad-based, analytical support to the Treasury team for global control processes and initiatives.
  • Liaise with IT and provide support for testing and rollout of new software applications and upgrades.
  • Continuously evaluate processes, implement learnings, and apply best practices.
  • Document complex technical flows and integration for team reference.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and concise communication to stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Chartered Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in Internal audit and SOX controls testing.
  • Functional knowledge of core Treasury processes, including cash positioning, forecasting, bank account management, payments, FX, and settlement would be an added advantage.
  • Experience with Data analytic and/or Workflow management tools (Power BI, Alteryx. Power App, etc.)
