Our team, Data Governance & Controls (Finance Data Factory), is a horizontal team building platform products for Walmart Data Organizations. For data organizations at Walmart Scale,  governance and controls enables discoverability, cost efficiency and veracity. How we achieve these, comes down to the team of smartest technologists from India focused on the entire suite of applications for US, CA and few more international markets.

What you'll do:

• Drive the next generation Walmart suite of products and platform by designing, coding, building, testing and deploying highly scalable and robust cloud based intelligent solutions.  
•  You will use your engineering experience and technical skill to design & develop high performing and scalable solutions that meet the needs of millions of Walmart customers. 
•  Implement cutting edge models and algorithms that operate on massive amounts of financial data keeping security at top priority.
•  Help and participate with the teams that leverage and contribute to open-source technologies
•  Make impact at a global scale.
•  As a Software Engineer you would be working as an individual contributor to design, develop, implement and document to produce highest standard of deliverables.
•  Interact with Walmart cross functional engineering teams such as cloud, platform, analytics etc. across geographies to leverage technical expertise and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery) within the established architectural guidelines.
• Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver great products.  
•   Participate in hiring and build teams enabling them to be high performing agile teams.  

What you'll bring:

You have strong problem solving, analytic, decision-making and excellent communication with interpersonal skills. You are self-driven and motivated with the desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven agile environment with varied responsibilities. You will also provide technical guidance and help to peers and juniors as required. You have a flair to setup new process and bring in innovative mindset to drive the team. You will idea have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and experience of 7 to 9 years core software product development experience.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and databases.
• Should be clean code practitioner, must know SOLID and other related principles, hands on with various object-oriented design patterns.
• Deep experience within Java and Spring-boot ecosystem and open-source tools to design and develop robust, high-performance and scalable applications for use within the Walmart product ecosystem.
• Hands on with cloud operations and debugging applications on cloud, preferably on Azure or GCP
• Hands on experience with RESTful services, Microservice development and techniques to unit test and integration test.
• Hands on in SQL and No-Sql (preferably CosmosDB)
• Hands on in Messaging (KAFKA, RABBITMQ etc).
• CI-CD knowledge and working experience on any cloud platform.
• Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology.
• Experience on Scala, Spark, and knowledge of data engineering is strongly desired.
