What does a Customer Service Representative really do? 

Imagine yourself going to work with one thing in your mind: to provide the best customer experience to your clients. Think of yourself as someone who will provide world-class service to our customers in an accurate, efficient, and respectful manner on every call as measured by different performance metrics. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform centralized administrative functions in a timely and accurate manner with the primary focus of serving a multi-dimensional customer set that includes corporate stakeholders, market teams and residents.

  • Identify customer needs and provide information relevant to the need.

  • Notify management of complex or escalating issues and provide the details and insight necessary to resolve quickly and effectively.

  • Comply with operational service level standards to ensure optimal performance.

  • Participate in special projects as needed.

  • Enhance residents’ and fellow associates’ experience by serving with Genuine Care.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations including Fair Housing Guidelines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. 

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative or customer service role is required.

  • 1 year of residential leasing and/or property management experience is preferred. 

Skills/Specialized Knowledge

  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English. 

  • Basic understanding of fair housing and real estate

  • Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) - required

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others. 

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 

  • Ability to perform basic to intermediate mathematical and accounting functions. 

  • Ability to read and comprehend financial statements, such as budgets, financial reports, accounting information, etc. 

  • Ability to multi-task. 

  • Ability to make quick and effective decisions. 

  • Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems. 

  • Ability to set and meet goals. 

  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines. 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. 

  • Yardi and Salesforce experience preferred.

Other Requirements

  • Must maintain professional appearance. 

  • Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis; Overtime may be required for this position. 

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
