Position Summary

As a Digital Product Owner, you will transform the agent experience by delivering digital products that streamline workflows, reduce friction, and enable our call center teams to serve members with greater speed, accuracy, and confidence. Our organization drives the digital strategy, product execution, and continuous improvement of the tools agents rely on every day—focusing on efficiency, usability, and operational impact across Aetna service organizations. A core part of our mission is building integrated platforms and capabilities that simplify complex tasks, reduce manual effort, and improve overall agent productivity.

As part of the Digital Product Team, you will support our teams across the Agent Experience and Efficiency portfolio. In this role, you will lead a scrum team to define and deliver scalable, reliable agent‑facing capabilities that power critical call center operations. Your work will directly impact how agents navigate systems, resolve member needs, and complete complex processes with fewer clicks and faster turnaround time.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partner with product leads, business analysts, system teams, stakeholders, and engineering to translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Lead and support PI Planning and Agile ceremonies, ensuring features, enablers, priorities, dependencies, and risks are ready, aligned, and transparent.

  • Own backlog creation, refinement, prioritization, and traceability within a SAFe/Agile framework, with a strong focus on technical accuracy and delivery readiness.

  • Collaborate with engineering in solutioning discussions, validate backend functionality, and accept completed work against functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Drive cross-team alignment, communication, issue resolution, and engagement to deliver scalable agent-facing capabilities that improve operational outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of digital product ownership, product management, or content management experience supporting products that assist call center or operational teams.

  • 5+ years working in Agile/SAFe environments with cross-functional partners, including product, business, compliance, design/content, and engineering teams.

  • Proven ability to translate complex clinical, operational, or technical requirements into user-centric experiences and executable user stories.

  • Experience facilitating PI Planning, driving alignment across multiple teams, and managing dependencies, risks, and priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, technically sound user stories and validate backend functionality through acceptance testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health insurance or healthcare industry experience.

  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile delivery, and common tools such as Rally, Jira, or similar platforms.

  • Product Owner or Product Management certification or formal training, such as PSPO or SAFe PO/PM.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (High School Diploma/GED + 4 years relevant experience).
