We are seeking an IT Operations Manager to serve as the technical lead for our IT infrastructure and support services. This highly visible, on-site role manages a hybrid (on-prem and cloud) environment with strict compliance requirements. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, fast learner who embraces new challenges. This person is also adaptable, security-minded, and driven to continuously improve IT operations and the end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day IT operations across on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring the security and reliability of infrastructure and services
• Manage team of 10+ individuals (Help desk, Network Engineers, etc.) and ensure hiring, training, and performance metrics are routinely met
• Own and deliver IT projects from planning through execution across the organization
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity operations, including backups, testing, incident response, and coordination with leadership
• Enforce security controls and ensure compliance with CMMC and related standards
• Manage technical compliance activities such as patching, system hardening, access controls, and audit preparation
• Oversee IT service platforms and Helpdesk Team; Mentor junior staff and provide hands-on troubleshooting guidance
• Manage vendor relationships, always looking for ways to optimize cost and performance

Required Qualifications

• Experience in cleared or highly regulated environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• U.S. citizenship; ability to pass a background check
• Active or eligible for Top Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience

Desired Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT operations, systems, or network administration experience, including leadership or senior technical responsibilities
• Experience with Windows 11, Windows Server, Ubuntu, RHEL, macOS, iOS, and/or Android operating systems
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, networking, virtualization (Nutanix, Hyper-V, VMware), and/or cloud platforms (Azure/M365, AWS, Oracle Cloud)
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery
• Working knowledge of NIST 800-171 and cybersecurity best practices
• Experience implementing security controls (patching, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, access management)
• Audit support or policy writing experience is preferred
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to perform under pressure
• Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, Network+, or ITIL are a plus
