A Livestock Operations Associate works under general supervision to handle customer service and administrative duties supporting Livestock Department operations including Livestock Insurance policy processing, claims processing.
Initially this role will have a 5 day in-office work schedule but upon completion of training, there will be a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities:
Livestock insurance policy data entry to include general insured and coverage information for new business, renewals, and policy changes or endorsements.
Validate agency/agent licensing using company systems or prescribed manual procedures
Assemble and send livestock insurance policies to the insured, agent, and other applicable parties
Insurance Claims Processing and File Management
Insurance claim data entry
Insurance claim check processing and issuance to the applicable parties
Prepare claims for review. Assemble supporting data, identify and request missing data from the claimant/agent
Independently deliver consistent, high quality, cost effective customer service by handling non-routine, as well as simple customer service telephone or email requests
Ensure appropriate information flow to senior team members, producers, field representatives, and third parties
Complete and possibly lead assigned special projects related to normal duties
Identifies priorities and manages daily workload timely and effectively while assisting others with problems or questions
General accounting, bookkeeping, financial data entry and billing knowledge is a plus but not required
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED Required
Livestock/Agricultural experience preferred
Effective Communication Skills
Strong Customer Service Orientation
Solid business skills; PC, software, keyboarding
Strong data entry skills
Adaptable/flexible; open to change
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; writes clearly and effectively; edits work for spelling and grammar
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; must be able to complete tasks with an attention to detail
Must be willing to work effectively independently, as well as in a team
Support team leader/manager on team projects
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
