Overview:

Develops communications to be used internally by a business line. Contributed to policies and programs to increase employee awareness and knowledge of activities affecting employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of internal communications, to include sales/service/operations, change management, employee engagement, and organizational initiatives.
• Prepare drafts of organizational announcements and respond to employee inquiries.
• Assist with intranet functions within the department.
• Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Associate’s degree in communications or related field or equivalent in experience.

Two years of related experience

Relevant PC skills

Knowledge of contemporary communications channels

Design and publication skills
