What You’ll Get to Do:

As a CACI-SOAS Special Operations Forces (SOF) Trainer, you will mentor and deliver emergent threat training to USASOC units, including Rangers, Special Forces, Civil Affairs, Psychological Operations, and Special Aviation, along with strategic partners within Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), Naval Special Warfare Command (NSW), and Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC). You will provide direct customer feedback to the USASOC Counter Threat Home Station Training Team Project Lead and the Operations and Exercises Functional Group Lead.  You will enhance training and set conditions that replicate the client’s operational environment to mitigate Peer, Near-Peer, and other adversaries’ anti-access/area denial (A2/AD) challenges to movement and maneuver and explosive threats’ tactical surprise and strategic impacts.  You will provide counter threat training in classroom and field environments and deliver hands-on training with specialized equipment for individual, leader, and collective training events (e.g., Field Training Exercises (FTX), Pre-Mission Training (PMT)

and other training events).  Additionally, you will enable Full Dimension Training and support to USASOC and their strategic partners targeting adversary Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and their delivery systems, Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) operations and operations in both CBRN and confined space fouled air environments which allows the execution of Tactical Operations, Activities and Investments (OAI's) in support of (ISO) both Army and Joint Force Commanders and the 2022 National Defense Strategy (NDS).

You will also support the below tasks:

  • Develop and deliver realistic, relevant training to meet SOF-unique mission requirements.
  • Enhance SOF effectiveness against emerging threats and associated threat networks.
  • Provide relevant and realistic counter-IED, landmine awareness, and emergent threat training.
  • Directly support training focused on targeting Weapons of Mass Destruction and their delivery systems.
  • Directly support training focused on Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) operations and operations in confined space fouled air environments. 
  • Provide relevant and realistic National Defense Strategy (NDS) 2+3 emerging threat and near-peer training profiles.
  • Conduct strategic and operational analysis to advise on new and emerging threats’ tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Develop technical reports and briefings.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Current Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Minimum of 15 years of military/DOD experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Special Operations. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in SOF unit training and/or SOF institutional training.
  • Demonstrated expertise targeting Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and their delivery systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) operations and operating in confined space fouled air environments.
  • Demonstrated familiarization with the Army Training Management Program and large-scale, enterprise-wide training programs. 
  • Experience integrating information, analysis, technology, and interagency collaboration, lessons learned, and best practices for training support to enable effective and efficient dissemination of threat training. 
  • Proven understanding of and experience with readiness resource requirements and CTEs at CTCs, regional collective training centers, Mobilization Force Generation Installations, major mission command, and home-station training events. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (MS Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • CAPM or PMP, or related certificates in project management. 
  • Demonstrated, recent (within the last five years) experience with or knowledge of the SOF training environment. 
  • Experience assessing training and preparing units for deployment into conflict zones. Experience planning, directing, and synchronizing intelligence collection, analysis, and production in support of training, deployment, and contingency operations. 
  • Proven understanding of the emerging and non-traditional concepts that are shaping the character of contemporary joint and multinational warfare.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$60,400 - $126,900
