We’re excited to announce the opening of a new location in Guadalajara, Mexico, and we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated RBAC Operations Lead to join our team to help establish and lead the RBAC program at this new site.
In this role, you will lead a team of analysts focused on Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and entitlement policy administration. You will collaborate with security contacts from across the network to onboard entitlements into our Identity and Access Governance (IAG) platform and design roles to align with our zero trust initiative and support “need-to-know-only” access. You will collaborate with customers to resolve access issues, and support JML (joiner/mover/leaver) activities - ensuring workers are assigned accurate roles and provisioned with appropriate access.
You will also work closely with global security leaders to help drive team strategy, operational improvements, automation, and incorporate industry-leading practices to build a world-class operations team.
This role will partner with a parallel team in India to provide continuous coverage for RBAC operations. You should have a proven background in RBAC and IAM, excellent leadership skills, and experience leading an operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to advance their career in IAM with a variety of challenges and possibilities. Join us in this exciting journey and make a significant impact at Micron Technology, Inc.!
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the RBAC operations team in Guadalajara, ensuring efficient and effective access management services.
Define operational and performance metrics, monitor team and individual performance, and drive the team to success.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Support joiner-mover-leaver (JML) activities and ensure Micron’s workforce has appropriate RBAC roles and access permissions.
Conduct role mining, role engineering, certification campaigns, and access auditing.
Evaluate user access requests and ensure user compliance with program setup as well as “least privilege” principles.
Respond to access-related incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution.
Partner with organizational and area representatives to right-size RBAC role provisioning while minimizing potential business disruption.
Smoothly transition Micron applications, physical access control systems (PACS), and unstructured data from their previous access control methods to role-based access control.
Monitor for access disruptions during "hypercare" and ensure impacted users regain access by making identified role adjustments.
Lead both short- and long-term projects to enhance the program, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, streamline and automate processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
Seamlessly coordinate activities with a parallel team in India, ensuring the teams are aligned on their processes and procedures.
