Summary
Title: Revenue Cycle Management Specialty Follow-Up Supervisor
Department: Central Business Office
We are seeking a full time on-site Specialty Follow Up Supervisor that will oversee a team responsible for managing follow-up care for patients with specific medical conditions. As the RCM Specialty Follow-Up Supervisor you will collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure timely and effective follow-up services. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient well-being.

Full Job Description:
As a Specialty Follow Up Supervisor, your responsibilities will include managing a team of follow-up specialists, coordinating patient appointments and referrals, ensuring accurate documentation and billing. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals and monitoring patient outcomes and satisfaction. Follow all UMCP Compliance Program Standards.
Essential Job Functions
• Supervising follow-up care processes
• Analyzing data and performance metrics
• Implementing quality improvement initiatives
• Resolving patient concerns and complaints
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Proficiency in medical terminology
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Detail-oriented and organized
Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare management or supervisory role
• Experience in electronic billing systems
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field
• Certification in healthcare management (e.g., CMPE, CPHQ)
• Experience with specialty clinics or practices
• Experience in implementing new systems
Environmental Conditions
Works in well-lighted, heated and ventilated building. Exposure to blood borne pathogens are of low risk. Hours of duty may be irregular.
Physical Requirements:
Work is of medium demand; walking and sitting most of the time while on duty. Adequate hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills required. Visual acuity and writing skills necessary for factual documentation. Hours may vary to accommodate needs of the corporation.
