What you will do

As a Strategy Analyst, you will be part of a small strategy team overseen by the Chief Strategy Officer. You will be given high levels of responsibility across multiple projects and asked to tackle complex business challenges from day one.

In this role, you may be asked to evaluate the size and growth potential of a market within the alternatives universe and develop potential strategies for entering the market. You will also be responsible to analyze how our top competitors are responding to market dynamics, or to help evaluate and diligence potential acquisition targets. These projects will provide you with exposure to PGIM and the asset management industry, and you will develop a broad business strategy toolkit.

In addition to conducting research and analysis, you will be responsible for presenting your findings and recommendations to senior management. You will also have the opportunity to be mentored by PGIM’s senior business leaders and be coached and trained by asset management and strategy experts.

This position is based in our office in Newark, New Jersey and will follow a hybrid schedule (3 days in office). 

What you can expect

  • Develop problem statements and structure problem solving approaches to PGIM’s most critical challenges

  • Conduct analyses on markets, competitors, and other business items

  • Establish the fact-base to aid in answering the PGIM senior management’s most pressing questions

  • Present your findings and recommendations to senior PGIM leaders

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree is required with strong academic background

  • 1-3 years of experience, preferably in internal strategy, management consulting, or banking

  • Knowledge of financial services

  • Interest in business strategy/development and asset management

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Passion for problem solving

  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Executive presence and the composure to interact with senior leaders

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $95,000 to $125,000 Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
