About Print Analytics – Supplies Insight

As part of the HP Inc. R&D Center, Print Analytics Team works closely with BDI & S Organization of HP Inc. across multiple domains. We provide data-driven actionable insights to influence business decisions. Within the Print Analytics, Supplies Insights Team seeks to deliver complex analysis through simulation, optimization, forecasting, predicting, and finding patterns in data to improve intelligence by leveraging Big Data, other 3rd party sources, corporate data, Unstructured Data or Distributed Data.

We are looking at hiring a data engineer with 4 – 7 years of experience to support Phoenix. Phoenix is a data engineering and Analytics platform which takes in raw telemetry data from different sources as inputs and produces accurate and scalable business insights.

Phoenix platform powers a data driven business management solution and creates value by maximizing customers and HP value. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Build familiarity with the existing Phoenix System, tech stack, data sources (internal and external), dashboards, and analysis.
  • Participate in analyzing requirements and high-level designs.
  • Work with businesses partners, application and process owners, and product team members to onboard new data sources and build pipelines.
  • Perform data modelling and prepare data in databases for use in various analytics tools and configurate and develop data pipelines to move and optimize data assets.
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline/ETL architecture in Databricks and cloud-based technologies.
  • Deliver automation capabilities for data engineering, reporting and improve analytics delivery.
  • Support Data migration activities from legacy to new databases.
  • Provide necessary technical support through all phases of solution life cycle.
  • Work on adhoc analysis as and when required.
  • Collaborates with peers, Data engineers, data scientists and project team.

Skills required:

  • Must Have:
    • Strong SQL Programming, ETL Concepts, Databricks, Python, Pyspark, Analytical knowledge.
    • Experience working with AWS (Redshift, S3)
    • Reporting Tools: Any reporting tool, preferably Qliksense.
  • Others
    • Hands on Experience on data analysis and profiling
