This position will support the Company’s sales initiatives and finance teams by establishing, monitoring, and reporting on customers’ credit and receivables. Main responsibilities will be setting and monitoring all credit limits for customers in all CHG locations within the US. Monitor and collect all open receivables for all locations. Report all possible bad debt, slow payment, and other payment irregularities to management in monthly past due reports. Support the sales team, customer service, distribution, and the EDI department by monitoring the daily invoicing process. Oversee the accounts receivable and cash application process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish all new customer’s credit by reviewing D & B reports and trade references.
- Collect all open invoices for all locations by running past due reports, checking deposit records with report, contacting customers listed on report and assisting the customer with any need that prevents them from paying.
- Monitor open invoices and past due amounts by running accounts receivable reports, preparing a spreadsheet with past due invoice amounts, preparing report of late paying customers, monitoring bank statements and wires and distributing reports to appropriate departments and upper management.
- Research credit hold orders by monitoring the credit hold screen and customer payment patters, responding to risk factors, contacting customers with open items, calculating payments, and making recommendations regarding releasing orders to ship. Watch for odd size and price of orders for errors on orders.
- Support the accounts receivable position by assisting other departments, brokers and customers with invoice questions or problems and assisting with projects and include invoice and accounts receivable functions and yearly audit.
- Supports the sales group by recommending credit for new customers, sending out trade references for new customers, reviewing credit for orders going out and filling out trade references for current customers.
- Monitor the daily invoicing process and identify and communicate issues promptly to IS, Sales, and management.
- Monitor EDI problems and work with IS to resolve.
- Responsible for year-end audit activities surrounding receivables and the allowance for doubtful accounts.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Certifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field, preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in credit and collections.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient use of a computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and other related applications or software.
- Computer literate with strong spreadsheet and word processing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be self-directing with limited supervision.
- Strong and self-confident personality with the ability to challenge assumptions and ideas.
- Strong team player with the ability to build and foster working relationships across departmental lines.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage one or more direct reports (i.e., Cash Collections Representative).
- Work requires supervising and monitoring work performance through the assistance of other supervisors or administrators, including making final decisions on hiring and disciplinary actions, evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness, and realigning work and staffing assignments, as needed.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Typical work in office environment or remote home office.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Substantial travel required (up to 40%) mostly in the United States.

$55,366.00 - $93,842.00
Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location.
