e Training Manager serves in a key position supporting the development and training of unique telecommunications platforms and systems to include complex Local and Wide Area Networks, System Administration and Network Logical Provisioning. The Training Manager is required to be able to present complex training of unique telecommunications platforms and systems as needed. This position coordinates with Operations, Engineering and senior management to identify and verify applicability of existing curriculum to ensure all material is current and within defined standards.
 

 What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Manage a team of technical personnel who control all aspects of training on the operations and maintenance of complex customized and customer unique LAN/WAN systems.

  • Train technical personnel on the operations and maintenance of complex customized and customer unique LAN/WAN systems.
     

More About the Role:

  • Manages all training activities including course development, instruction, administration, and classroom readiness.

  • Works closely with project management personnel to plan and coordinate training.

  • Prepares recommendations, briefings and reports for the client and/or senior management.

  • Explores and recommends new options for developing and delivering training.

  • Possesses the ability to conduct comprehensive and complex training on LAN and WAN systems; messaging platforms and peripheral platforms both on-site and off-site for the client’s applications and systems to include lectures and hands-on sessions as needed.

  • Monitors, reviews and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions.

  • Works with senior level personnel and business units/technical areas to conduct needs assessments to ensure training needs are met.

  • Provides guidance and direction to less experienced trainers utilizing strong technical and training skills.

  • Relays important program updates and escalate issues to corporate and prime leadership.

  • Provides management and leadership to team of contractors to include time-off management, employee recognition, and communicating program updates and training opportunities as required.
     

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Current TS/SCI with Poly Security Clearance

  • Management background

  • Versed in operation, function and application of most types of LAN/WAN communications platforms

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office automation tools, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Black Board, Moodle and other training tools

  • Familiar with today’s on-line training environments

  • Experience in developing various types of documentation, such as training manuals, student manuals, and reference material
     

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • The ideal candidate will a strong understanding of the customer's IT infrastructure, platforms, security practices, and Basic Telecommunications Training Program familiarity.
     

Additional Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Infrastructure skills (racking and stacking equipment)

  •  Knowledge of the customer's IT systems
     

Troubleshooting Desired Skills:

  •  Experience working with or being a TISO, Field Engineer, Engineering Specialist and/or classroom instructor is highly desired.

  •  Experience with the Blackboard Learning System and/or distance learning systems.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$99,800 - $219,600
