OVERVIEW:
This Data Analyst II role will sit in the athlete analytics team, which is focused on providing meaningful insights to the enterprise about customer behavior. This role is part of our marketing & customer analytics team as well as our technology product, detail & analytics department.
This role will work alongside our athlete engagement team and help to deliver on their charter to provide the best customer care. Some example focus areas include but are not limited to customer lifetime value, increasing customer retention, profit maximization, and experience optimization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Socialize Key Insights and Optimizations
Translate non-technical business questions into technical code to extract data. Then, leverage data to tell a clear story.
Deliver analysis, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences. Deliverables may take the shape of presentations and/or email communications.
Provide data guidance to Tech and Product teams, to help shape and inform reporting solutions to meet business user’s needs.
Ownership of Measurement Design
Proactively leads measurement discussions with a well-reasoned POV, and makes actionable recommendations as to measurement, KPI’s, best practices and potential outcomes and actions related to the business objective.
Work with cross-functional partners to align on test KPIs
Be intimately familiar with the customer care strategy & budgets. Anticipates measurement requests and roadblocks prior to being solicited by the business.
Independently uses common tools and platforms (e.g. SQL, GCP, Excel) and/or vendor platforms to query, join, extract, and manipulate raw data from disparate sources to tell a comprehensive story with key insights and recommended actions.
Development of Test & Learn Offerings
Conduct power analyses to ensure optimal test inputs to measure KPI lift.
Explore new ways to measure optimization and incrementality of campaigns across internal and external platforms.
Evaluate data input quality and partner with reporting teams to ensure consistency in test readouts and reporting structure.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Math, Finance, Economics
1-3 years of experience in analytics required. Experience with customer analytics is preferred but not required
Relevant experience with test & learn (e.g. A/B, incremental, etc.) is preferred
Knowledge of data mining / database structures is required
Experience with SQL or other coding languages (e.g. R) is required
Experience with BI tools (e.g. Qlik, Power BI, etc.) is preferred
