POSITION SUMMARY

Owens & Minor, Inc., a FORTUNE 500 company headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, is a leading national distributor of name-brand medical and surgical supplies and a healthcare supply-chain management company.

With a diverse product and service offering and distribution centers throughout the United States, the company serves hospitals, integrated healthcare systems, alternate site locations, group purchasing organizations, and the federal government. Owens & Minor provides technology and consulting programs that improve inventory management and streamline logistics across the entire medical supply chain--from origin of product to patient bedside.

The Delivery Lead is responsible for delivery of projects within their portfolio. This role leads the IT organization in implementing technology solutions and delivering on business outcomes. Partners with senior Business and IT leadership to ensure the delivery of real business value across various portfolios. Responsible for communicating project progress, issues and resolutions to internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Lead and oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Develop project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resources required, and timelines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, delegate tasks, and monitor progress to ensure successful project outcome.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of organizational strategies, leveraging insights and data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Manage project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize utilization of available resources to achieve project outcomes.
  • Liaise with internal departments, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.  
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and impact.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting project progress, outcomes, and recommendations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Security)
  • Seven (7) or more years relevant Program/Project Management or Supply Chain experience
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing large scale, complex projects
  • Solid understanding of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
  • High energy, initiative-taking collaborator with strong people skills
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse remote teams, managing through a matrix structure, and will require strong analytical skills, process & project management, combined with well-developed team leadership and influencing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparation and delivery of executive-level presentations
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving and process management skills
  • Demonstrated tendency to challenge the status quo and drive constant improvement in process and ability to achieve organizational goals

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Ability to travel up to 10%; may include international travel
  • Experience with Supply Chain or Distribution environments preferred
