Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Join an inclusive team passionate about one thing: using their expertise in the relentless pursuit of innovation for customers and partners. The solutions we build help make everything from virtual reality experiences to breakthroughs in neural networks possible. We do it all while committing to integrity, sustainability, and giving back to our communities. Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.

We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join the NAND Central Engineering-Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) Engineering Team. As CE PYE Failure Analysis (FA) Engineer for Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for providing full fault isolation and failure analysis support for qualifications, new device introduction, and test failures. You will apply relevant methodologies to isolate electrical failures in close collaboration with Product Engineering Teams. A strong understanding of product architecture, process flow, and test sequences is essential, as you will work with Process Integration, Product, Test, and Quality Reliability Assurance Engineering groups to ensure physical defects are accurately identified and classified.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform sophisticated electrical device characterization to determine electrical failure mechanisms.

  • Operate fault isolation equipment, including nProbing, to localize electrical defects, support physical failure analysis, root‑cause determination, debug device failures, improve turnaround time, and drive corrective actions.

  • Conduct physical failure analysis to identify and classify physical defects.

  • Establish and hypothesize potential electrical or process failure mechanisms based on detailed electrical failure models and physical failure analysis characterization, supporting process improvement.

  • Collaborate closely with a diverse range of collaborators, including teams from frontend to backend and the Global Quality (GQ) department, to address and resolve defectivity issues.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive electrical and physical failure mechanisms weekly to drive continuous improvement.

  • Develop and implement new fault-isolation and physical-failure analysis techniques to stay ahead of industry standards.

  • Lead and guide a team of CE PYE technicians, fostering a collaborative, ambitious work environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronic/Semiconductor Engineering.

  • Proven experience as a great team player with outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong drive to excel.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively in large meetings.

  • Highly motivated individuals with a passion for innovation and excellence.

  • Knowledge of fault isolation equipment, techniques, and physical failure analysis is a significant advantage.

  • Ability to support shift rotation as required to meet operational needs.

  • Exposure to AI/machine learning or data analytics applied in engineering or manufacturing environments is a plus, particularly for fault isolation, failure analysis, or process optimization.
