About the Team

Our team develops, solves problems and debugs software programs for enhancements and new tools across multiple subject areas and multiple platforms. We design and implement software able to handle software delivery with scalability.

About the Role

At Workday, we have millions of lines of code in Java, and Scala. It is a huge challenge to scale our build/release pipeline to meet our fast-growing engineering demand. As part of the Workday core backend development team, the OMSCI team is to provide a robust build, configuration and release infrastructure which enables service owners for efficient code delivery at scale.

About You

We need hard-working, creative and result driven Software Engineers, like you, who really want to move the needle. You should enjoy working on projects that can significantly improve developer satisfaction and cut the cost for the company. By nature, you are inquisitive and ready to question the status quo. You enjoy trying new techniques and approaches to difficult problems in automation engineering and testing. You feel happiest when working with a highly capable and motivated team of people who are passionate about software and technology. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and five years+ industry experience or Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and two years of industry experience

  • You have 2+ years hands-on experience with creating and maintaining environments on cloud providers such as: Amazon Web Services as well as creating and maintaining modular infrastructure and configuration as code systems such as: Terraform, or Ansible

  • DevOps experience helping with enhancing production resiliency and product quality

  • Proficiency in an object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Groovy or Kotlin

Other Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of Git, Docker, and Linux

  • Experience with continuous integration system, e.g. TeamCity or Bamboo or Jenkins

  • Experience with modern build tools such as Gradle, or Maven

  • AWS certification and proven track record of implementing solution in AWS

  • Infrastructure and configuration as code systems such as: Terraform or Ansible

  • Experience building monitoring tools for metrics and dashboards
