As an Accounts Receivable Representative at C.H. Robinson, the responsibilities include ensuring invoices are accurately issued in a timely and efficient manner, researching problems, and resolving standard disputes to meet important deadlines. The Accounts Receivable team operates in a fast-paced, process-driven environment, managing various aspects of the Accounts Receivable function.

Duties and Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Compile amounts owed by the company to vendors or other individuals, or owed to the company by customers or clients, and input figures into the accounting system.
  • Receive and distribute invoices, verifying accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Enter invoice amounts into the accounting system and process invoices or payments.
  • Reconcile amounts received or owed by comparing invoices to POs or other records.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers or clients and research and resolve concerns or discrepancies.
  • Support ideas for process improvement.
  • Develop professional relationships with internal and external partners, maintain open lines of communication, and build rapport by providing timely and professional service.
  • Continue to develop skills and build upon knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country-specific requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience using accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle.
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
  • Solid attention to detail and ability to work well within a deadline-driven environment.
  • Perform functions efficiently and accurately.
  • Effective and flexible communication skills.
  • Positive, professional attitude and excellent customer service skills with an ability to deal with conflict/sensitive topics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment.
