Job description:
For Guidewire digital portal programs, the Managing Engineering will support the Lead Engineering and Lead Digital Product Manager on larger Guidewire engagements, leading and managing the program and team members, ensuring successful execution, alignment with company objectives, and coordination across teams. The Managing Engineering in Guidewire Digital Portal (ProducerEngage) and will lead, execute and report on delivery assurance, delivery transformation and workforce transformation ideas.
As a technology leader you are expected to be player/coach focused on a singular digital product and you are coding at least 75% with the team while coaching (through pairing where applicable). Your primary responsibility will be to support teams in designing and developing front end portal with Guidewire ProducerEngage and you will be accountable for defining hypotheses and value metrics upfront for Lead Engineering, Lead Digital Product Manager and Allstate Canada Group (ACG) leadership to take informed and prompt decisions. Although your focus will be on building the system of engagement, it will be important for you to have solid platform knowledge and familiarity with the system of record, Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter. You will be expected to leverage best practices and tools to create efficient, reliable, scalable and engaging code.
Accountabilities:
Accountable to the Lead Engineering for the success of assigned Guidewire project(s). Serve as the primary liaison with their counterpart and stakeholders (internal and external), owning the overall relationship and ensuring that Guidewire platform and services align with long-term strategic objectives and bringing learnings from prior efforts to the conversations.
