Job Description:

About the role

As the Team Leader of Eligibility, you will be responsible for the day-to-day functioning of a team of Eligibility Officers and support teams, oversee workflow management, deal with complex liability decisions involving stakeholder engagement, complaints handling and compliance with Worksafe key measures. You will also be responsible for recruitment within the team and have experience in people management.  

As Team Manager, you will need to have an operational understanding of both legal and medical principles and their interrelationship as well as a sound understanding of the relevant legislation.

Your strength in resilience and leadership to achieve business and Worksafe objectives, through utilisation of your analytical and communication capability will see your success in this position.

  • Superior customer service and communication skills dealing with complex claims and stakeholders
  • Exposure to WorkSafe Victoria claims management systems

Required Expertise

  • People management.
  • Industry experience in claims management, specifically in Eligibility viewed favourably; and
  • Strong knowledge of the Accident Compensation Act 1985, Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and associated regulations.
