The SVP, Enterprise IT Strategy Lead will be a seasoned executive with a deep understanding of the CIO landscape. As a former C-suite or senior executive, you will leverage your experience to guide CIOs in driving innovation and achieving business objectives through Salesforce products and solutions. You will work closely with customer executive teams to share best practices, address challenges, and quantify the value of Salesforce solutions. This role will involve leading a marketing team focused on building customer narratives, participating in industry events, and positioning Salesforce as a strategic partner for CIOs.

Responsibilities

Understanding the CIO Perspective:

  • Identify the top challenges CIOs face today (e.g., digital transformation, security/governance, software consolidation).

  • Develop a clear value proposition that addresses CIO-specific pain points.

  • Create compelling narratives and case studies that resonate with CIOs.

Content Strategy and Engagement:

  • Establish a dedicated CIO section on the company website with tailored content.

  • Develop and execute a content marketing strategy, including whitepapers, webinars, and blog posts.

  • Implement account-based marketing (ABM) strategies to target specific CIO accounts.

  • Optimize website content for relevant CIO keywords.

Leveraging Relationships and Partnerships:

  • Establish a CIO advisory board to gather insights and feedback.

  • Collaborate with industry associations and analyst firms.

  • Work closely with the company's CIO to leverage their network.

  • Position the company as a thought leader through speaking engagements and publications.

  • Enable the sales team to effectively engage with CIOs.

  • Develop partner marketing programs to leverage strategic GSI/Partner relationships with IT leadership.

Empowering Developers to Drive CIO Adoption:

  • Invest in developer advocacy to build strong relationships with the developer community.

  • Create developer-centric content that addresses their pain points and showcases the value of Salesforce.

  • Encourage developer evangelism through success stories and case studies.

  • Develop partner programs to incentivize developers to promote Salesforce to CIOs.

  • Participate in developer conferences and events to build awareness and generate leads.

Leadership and Management:

  • Manage a team of product marketing managers to execute on the CIO strategy.

  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to product marketing managers.

  • Ensure alignment between the CIO strategy and sales activities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a C-suite or senior executive in a large enterprise.

  • Deep understanding of the CIO landscape and its challenges.

  • Successful track record of driving Salesforce implementations.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing strategies.

  • Knowledge of Salesforce products and platforms.

  • Understanding of developer communities and ecosystems.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $366,000 to $458,000.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
