Job Description
Perform Modelling & Detailing in Creo and product data management using Teamcenter & Vismockup
Knowledge in Caterpillar Print reading, Material & Process 1ESpecs
Perform engineering analysis on machine parts for similarity studies, commonality analysis, backward compatibility study for optimizing parts inventory.
Capable to perform Form, Fit & Function study using the assemblies to support engineering value chain activities.
Perform alternate material substitutions, alternate manufacturing process study for consolidation of material and support procurement.
Knowledge in Manufacturing process, Should Cost Modelling, APQP, Cost comparison on similar parts.
Handle mass data analysis, Advanced Excel Usage, automation using Excel VBA Macros, Usage of Data Analytics Tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
Ensure quality self-check is done & ensure the engineering drawing readiness for checking / releasing.
Responsible to understand the project requirements and Develop/ Implement cycle time reduction & quality improvement ideas in the project being handled.
Demonstrate very good communication and presentation skills, being able to explain conclusions to customers who have limited knowledge and time.
Exhibit strong initiative and teamwork skills, and a comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar products and services, its internal systems, processes, and procedures.
Develop and maintain good working relationship at all levels.
Address all customer issues promptly and propose process / product improvements.
Basic Qualifications
A full-time bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering College or University (Mechanical / Mechatronics / Production)
Around 6 to 8 years relevant work experience in similar areas and have demonstrated ability to work independently.
Strong Analytical & Project Management skills
Communicate effectively with others in the work group, cross functional team members and customers.
Need to be self-motivated and team player.
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Level Basic Understanding: • Names specific tools or techniques that can be used to support the analytical thinking process. • Describes specific software applications or products used for business analytics. • Gives examples of how analytical thinking has been used to resolve problems. • Helps others research and learn more about business analytics tools and applications.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
