Virtual Account Manager

Description -

Our Virtual Account Manager is responsible for generating leads, advancing the sales process, closing new and existing business and revenue growth objectives by effectively articulating the value proposition associated with HP’s products and services.  The Virtual Account Manager will be required to leverage social, digital, video, chat, phone and occasional face to face sales demonstration to effectively reach, sell to and manage HP’s customers.

Success in the role is determined by a high close rate in generating new and existing business from inbound phone calls and teaming with the respective Enterprise Account Manager (EAM), along with proactive outbound selling through targeted phone campaigns and cold call prospecting.

The Virtual Account Manager will serve as the central point of contact for the customer across opportunities, closing deals and managing customer relationships and escalations.  Another key engagement is with cross functional business units in HP to provide deliverables in pricing and solutions that meets HP’s customer needs.

 

Key Result Areas (KRA):
1.    Achieve Annual business revenue target and meet profitability expectations
2.    Build strong client relationships and professionalism representing HP
3.    Create strong and effective working relationships with all employees of HP
4.    Complete and deliver sales and forecasting reports and maintain up to date sales data in Microsoft Dynamics
5.    Ensure compliance with HP values, policies and standards as well as compliance with HP’s standard business code of conduct

 

Job Specification:
 

Education:

•  University/Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience

Technical Skills:  
•   Proven capability in solution selling in the PC Industry.
•   Proven capability in hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions.
•   A positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities.

Industry Experience:   

•   Minimum 3-5 years of proven Virtual Account Manager sales experience in the IT industry.
•   Knowledge of the market, current IT challenges, competitor behavior and strategy.

Management Skills:    

•   Stakeholder Management
Personal qualities:    

•    Strong personal motivation and application skills to set and achieve objectives.
•    Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with many and varied internal and external contacts
•    Attention to detail
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
•    Demonstrates on-going compliance with attendance requirements, training, expectations, and completed tasks at the direction of management.
•    Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.

Technology Skills:   

•  Excellence in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
•  Experience in using Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM tool

Language Skills:    Excellent command of English (verbal and written)
Communication Skills:    Excellent communication skills, with effective communication styles
