Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Lead application development and production support delivery for interoperability platforms supporting federal and state regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS Interoperability rules), ensuring solutions built on FHIR standards are reliable, secure, and compliant in production environments.
Direct end‑to‑end lifecycle management of application and microservice platforms—including design, development, deployment, and steady‑state production operations—with a strong emphasis on availability, performance, and incident response.
Define and execute application development and production support strategies aligned to the enterprise interoperability roadmap, regulatory timelines, and business objectives, with clear ownership for uptime and operational excellence.
Oversee planning and delivery of FHIR‑based APIs and microservices, built using cloud‑native patterns on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including hands‑on leadership of production readiness, go‑live, and post‑deployment stabilization.
Establish and govern production support operating models, including on‑call rotations, incident and problem management, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous service improvement for mission‑critical interoperability services.
Provide expert guidance on the selection, implementation, and operational management of interoperability technologies and tools, including:
Define and track KPIs and SLAs across both delivery and operations, including availability, latency, error rates, incident trends, and regulatory compliance measures; uses data‑driven insights to improve reliability and reduce operational risk.
Partner closely with business, clinical, compliance, and operations stakeholders to align production support priorities with regulatory deadlines, provider/member experience expectations, and enterprise risk posture.
Establish and enforce quality and reliability practices, including automated testing, performance testing, security reviews, code quality gates, and operational readiness reviews prior to production releases.
Drive process maturity and continuous improvement by adopting best‑in‑class DevSecOps, SRE, and ITIL‑aligned practices to improve platform resilience, reduce manual intervention, and accelerate incident resolution.
Build strong relationships with external vendors, partners, and cloud providers, ensuring interoperability solutions meet contractual, regulatory, and operational commitments in production.
