Job Description Summary:

The Manager, Medical Education, Student Programming manages student placement and medical student and/or advanced practice provider (APP) programs at OhioHealth. Student placement includes APP and medical students from academic partners that do rotations at OhioHealth hospitals.

Programs include, but are not limited to, the Physician Diversity Scholars Program, the Student Research Externship Program, the medical student placement program and others as assigned (potentially to include APP residencies). The manager will work independently to gather the required information to develop, implement and evaluate each program. They will manage the team of administrators that schedule and monitor student placement and other direct reports as assigned. In addition, the Manager will also be responsible planning, scheduling, reporting, tracking and executing student programs, and participate in the budgeting for the department and programs.

The manager will be responsible for presenting outcomes to various stakeholders and helping to otherwise disseminate information about student placement and the programs. They will collaborate with medical education program leaders, facilitate advisory and focus groups, and develop relationships with academic partners outside of OhioHealth. They will also work with Medical Education leadership on other system medical education programs and projects, and will complete other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
Years of experience: 3-5

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
Excellent communication, writing, and organization skills
Knowledge of medical education programs within OhioHealth
3-5 years of experience in program management

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
Thorough understanding of undergraduate and graduate medical education, communication across all levels of the organization
5-7 years in program management preferred
