When considering candidates, we look for scientific and business professionals who are highly motivated, collaborative, and most importantly, share our passionate interest in fighting cancer.

General Description:

We are seeking a visionary and practical leader to transform our global data capabilities.

The Mission: To institutionalize data as the "default input" for critical business decisions. You will orchestrate the integration of process data and business data, leveraging AI to drive efficiency, forecast risks, and maximize the value of our assets.

Key Value Drivers:

  • From Hindsight to Foresight: Transition from explaining "what happened" to predicting "what will happen".
  • From Intuition to Evidence: Replace qualitative estimation with quantitative, data-backed decision support.
  • From Fragmentation to System: Eliminate silos to build a scalable, governed, and reusable insight engine.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Strategic Decision Support & Business Enablement

  • Asset & Portfolio Intelligence: Build the data framework to evaluate the health, progress, and ROI of business assets. Provide the leadership team with objective data for critical resource allocation and stage-gate decisions.
  • Operational Efficiency Analysis: Deep-dive into core operational flows to identify bottlenecks, cycle-time delays, and cost inefficiencies. Drive the logic for process optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the bridge between technical data teams and business stakeholders. Translate complex business questions into analytical frameworks and actionable recommendations.

Monitoring, Early Warning & Governance

  • Real-Time "Watchtower": Establish a robust monitoring system for critical business metrics. Implement automated anomaly detection to identify risks (e.g., timeline slippage, quality deviation, budget overruns) in real-time.
  • Closed-Loop Remediation: Enforce a strict "Data-to-Action" workflow. Ensure that every data alert triggers a defined response mechanism (Root Cause → Solution → Verification).
  • Data Integrity & Standards: Spearhead the cleanup of historical data issues. Define and enforce a "Single Source of Truth" across the organization, ensuring data quality meets high industry/compliance standards.

AI Strategy & Capability Building

  • AI for Efficiency: Drive the adoption of AI/ML to automate manual analysis and reporting. Implement predictive modeling for capacity planning, demand forecasting, and risk scoring.
  • Unstructured Data Utilization: Unlock value from documents and text (e.g., contracts, reports, logs) using NLP/GenAI to generate insights that structured databases miss.
  • Scalable Tooling: Move away from ad-hoc spreadsheets. Collaborate with technical partners to build reusable, standardized data products and dashboards.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Team Construction: Manage the entire Data Insight global team, motivate and lead the talents, identify gaps, and build a high-performing and engaged team. Champion a data-driven and innovation culture that truly brings value to the organization.
  • Collaboration: Collaboration with business leaders on understanding their needs, providing data solutions and coach on how to interpret and utilize data insights effectively.

Required Education:

Min. Master degree of Computer Science, Machine Learning/AI and relevant degree required.

Required Experience:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in Data Strategy, Analytics, or Business Intelligence.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of turning around underperforming functions or building data capabilities in a complex environment.
  • Technical & Strategic Balance: Ability to "speak the language" of data scientists while delivering clear business value to Executive Leadership.
  • Resilience: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage internal politics, and drive change despite resistance.
  • Flexibility to work with colleagues in a global setting.
  • Able to engage in work-related travel approximately 20%.
