Dematic is looking for an Indirect Procurement Specialist to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position requires you to act as a catalyst to driving value, efficiency, and partnership across our North American sites. You will coordinate the full procurement lifecycle for indirect materials and services. You will collaborate closely with internal partners and lead sourcing and negotiations. You will make sure supply is reliable and costs remain competitive.

As part of this position, you will complete RFQs and RFPs, manage purchase requisitions and orders in SAP, and take ownership of supplier coordination and contract administration. You will actively identify savings and cost‑avoidance opportunities, coordinate local sourcing strategies in collaboration with area and category teams, and continuously improve procurement processes and systems.

  The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $70,125 - $102,850 annually at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Own the indirect procurement budget and supplier relationships allocated for North America

• Process purchase requests and convert them into purchase orders using SAP

• Lead solicitation processes, assess supplier bids, develop comparisons, and present sourcing recommendations

• Negotiate contracts and handle supplier agreements to support cost, quality, and service goals

• Develop and implement local category and sub‑category strategies coordinating closely with regional and category departments

• Identify and deliver opportunities for reducing expenses and avoiding costs through spend analysis and supplier negotiations

• Maintain contract transparency by reviewing terms, conditions, and validity on a regular basis

• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, tools, and ways of working

What We Are Looking For:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 5 years of demonstrated procurement experience preferred.

• Experience in indirect procurement or category procurement, ideally within a manufacturing environment

• Proven success in supplier negotiations and contract management at local and international levels

• Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills

• An analytical, organized approach with the ability to manage priorities effectively

• Solid understanding of SAP and Microsoft Office tools
