We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Finance Data and Analytics Director to develop and lead our team of finance and data analysts. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting and analytics functions, supporting our business leaders with in-depth reporting and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in Workday reporting and will be resourceful, client-service oriented, and possess strong leadership skills to drive our financial insights and strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties

Team Leadership and Development: (25%)

  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of reporting analysts.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and career development opportunities to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Reporting and Analytics: (25%)

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive financial reports and insightful dashboards
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reports provided to FP&A and business leaders.
  • Develop and implement robust reporting processes and standards.

Financial Analysis Support: (20%)

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their reporting and analytical needs.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis.

Client Service and Relationship Management: (15%)

  • Serve as a key point of contact for finance regarding reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive communication, effective problem-solving and feedback review.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Process Improvement and Innovation: (10%)

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance reporting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve data quality and reporting capabilities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in reporting and analytics, including AI and automation technologies.

Other duties as assigned. (5%)

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field – required
  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in Finance Reporting and Analytics or comparable experience – Required
  • Proven experience with Workday reporting - Required
  • Professional services experience – Preferred
  • Previous experience analyzing data and providing insights – Required
  • Previous experience with a Business Intelligence (BI) tool – Preferred

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, etc).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of self-motivation, resourcefulness, and client service orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

  • 5+ years’ experience managing staff - Required
  • Demonstrated success in influencing and engaging stakeholders, building collaborative relationships while managing conflicting priorities - Required
  • Demonstrated ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, seek and implement change to drive business improvement, and serve as a model of change - Required
  • Strong communication skills; Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the firm - Required
  • Able to motivate, inspire and develop individuals and teams to collaborate and deliver to their highest potential - Required

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $132,600 - $234,900

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
