Your tasks:
You will functionally support the S/4 HANA implementation project in the area of product sales variants configuration (in particular: data analysis, requirements gathering, transformation rules alignments, data validations and preparation for testing and production environment, data cleansing)
Support in defining and implementing globally harmonized Product Data Model thoughout all Sales & Service locations
Implementing and improving the processes related to Data Quality Management in the area of product sales variants configuration
You will identify and coordinate data cleansing activities
Collecting, developing, harmonizing, and aligning new requirements for product data model
You will document data-related processes, standards, and changes
Contributing in data communities and future data related projects, as well as providing data support and expertise to data key users for data requests and issues
You have a degree in (technical) economics, e.g. in business informatics, industrial engineering or business administration or a similar practical experience in a related field; engineering industry experience is an advantage
SAP system knowledge and practical experience, ideally R3 and S/4 HANA, especially with material variant configuration, material and material-related data objects
Understanding of data management principles and data governance, as well as practical experience in data management distinguishes your profile
Strong affinity for data and understanding of the connections between business processes and data flows across multiple IT systems and applications
Ability to understand, analyse, investigate and present complex data and process topics
You have strong written and communication skills in English language

Your main responsibilities as Global Data Steward - Product Data Model Sales & Service (m/f/d) for product data model (PDM) and related data objects as part of ITS EMEA Sales & Service Data Management Organization will include:
Supporting Product Data Model Global Owner in creating the definition of global harmonized fields, structures and content of the product data model and definition of interfaces between the different systems, and in harmonizing the use of common structures in different Sales & Service locations/branches to fit the global rules
Implementing and improving of processes related to Data Quality Management, especially defining standards, guidelines, and procedures at global and EMEA level for Sales & Service with the involvement of regional Data Stewards
Making suggestions for KPIs and target values of data quality and processes
Identifying errors in the data or master data management processes and developing concepts for further data quality improvements under the guidance of the Data Owner
Enforcing KION Group, as well as defining, and developing data governance rules, policies, and standards at global and EMEA level for Sales & Service area with the involvement of regional Data Stewards; verifying master data management-policies and identifying change requirements
Ensuring global and EMEA data practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, supporting and facilitating data audits
Contributing to Data Lifecycle Management at KION Group and ITS EMEA Sales & Service level (data storage and archiving, retention, and disposal), including aligning the specific regional data classifications coming from regional Data Stewards
Supporting Global Data Owner in defining data access and security and acting as a point of contact for alignments of regional data access requirements
Collecting, developing, harmonizing, and aligning new requirements for product data model and related data objects, as well as enhancements, modifications, and improvements (such as data model changes, data quality rules, data governance rules, etc.), by acting as a bridge between IT, data management and process teams, and business units at EMEA and global level
Documenting data-related processes, standards, and changes for future reference, incl. metadata management, and ensuring transparency of data structure and usage at global and EMEA level
Contributing in data communities and future data related projects on EMEA and global level
Identifying and building subject matter expert network for EMEA within business and IT teams
Providing data support and expertise to data key users for data requests and issues
Developing role-specific trainings for data requestors and approvers in collaboration with Key Users and Regional Data Stewards
Educating other employees about data governance, data management, and the importance of data compliance
Supporting the Data Owner in participation in selected data-related projects
In all those activities, as well as additional KION Business Transformation project tasks, you are supporting the Global Product Data Owner from Sales & Service perspective and are acting as an alignment point of contact for regional Data Stewards.
During current KION Business Transformation project you will additionally support the following tasks:
data migration for product data model and related data objects by validating data extraction and transformation rules with regional subject matter experts, as well as the data loads to prevent loss of information
support central and local contacts in identifying data cleansing needs for product data model and related data objects within current systems to ensure a smooth migration of data into the new system during the roll-in, and support where necessary in testing the solutions for mass errors corrections
contributing to the development of data migration and management concepts and cutover plan
supporting test data specification and preparation for test phases during the project
