APAC Markets Treasury Business Execution Associate

Part of the Citi Markets COO organization, the Business Execution Associate will support APAC Markets Treasury (MT) to implement and drive the successful implementation of Business projects related to internal and regulatory commitments, and other Business initiatives.

Job Background/context:

Markets Treasury is globally responsible for managing Citigroup’s Bank Chain liquidity outside of the US. Markets Treasury manages and hedges interest rate and liquidity risk arising from the bank chain balance sheet utilizing a range of cash and derivative fixed income products, including a portfolio of high-quality fixed income securities. The business additionally engages in selected secured lending activity.

Responsibilities:

• Work in close partnership with the APAC Markets Treasury business and the Global Business Execution Team to coordinate efforts, drawing on subject matter experts from within the Business, where applicable, to assist in helping create a best-in-class Treasury unit for the future needs of Citi, its clients and regulators.
• Work within the Markets Treasury Group to formulate and implement a coordinated business response to internal and regulatory commitments, and business initiatives with regards to Data, Liquidity Management and IRRBB programs.
• Supporting risk, controls and supervision framework for APAC Markets Treasury, including but not limited to the operational and compliance risk framework in the business.
• Support the Business Risk & Control Forums to oversee all aspects of safety and soundness for the business.
• Support the APAC Business Heads and Business Execution with the continuous evolution and improvement of the control framework to sufficiently mitigate existing and new emerging risks.
• Interact with Markets Central Risk & Control teams, Compliance, Internal Audit and other control functions to drive forward control enhancement initiatives and investigate control failures.
• Ensure a successful implementation of the business projects related to internal and regulatory commitments, and other business initiatives
• Work in close partnership with control functions such as Citi Treasury, Risk Chain, Controllers, Finance, and other supporting functions to help set up the appropriate governance and controls around the same.
• Assist with coordination and production of materials for various management meetings, including staff meetings, town halls, monthly business reviews, and team off-sites
• Provide support with analysis and feedback on relevant business projects and initiatives.

Qualifications / Skills Required:

• 5-8 years of business analysis experience required
• Knowledge on Treasury products, Balance Sheet, Liquidity Management, and regulatory requirements preferred, but not required
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and region-wide projects within aggressive timeframes.
• Strong PowerPoint, Excel and Data analytics skill
• Working knowledge of Citi a plus
