Job Description​

The Opportunity: 

  

Saint Luke’s Health System is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse for their Cardiology clinic location at the Plaza  In this LPN role, you will have the opportunity to work some shifts remote from your home as allowed by clinic need.

Candidates must live in the KC Metro area.

Work from home Responsibilities: 

  • Answer calls from internal staff, pharmacies, external healthcare providers, and patients. 
  • Review normal lab results with patients. 
  • Process refill requests. 
  • Address patient questions, complaints, and/or concerns. 
  • FMLA paperwork and other administrative responsibilities. 

Work in the clinic Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Medical Assistants when needed with EKGs, Rooming Patients, Monitor Patches and Rhythm Monitors. 
  • Assist RNs within scope of practice with walk-in visits and other responsibilities.  
  • Answer calls from internal staff, pharmacies, external healthcare providers, and patients. 
  • Review normal lab results with patients. 
  • Process refill requests. 
  • Address patient questions, complaints, and/or concerns. 
  • FMLA paperwork and other administrative responsibilities. 

Shift Details: Work in clinic and remotely as clinic schedules allow

No nights, No weekends 

*Flexible scheduling with 8 or 10 hour shift options available   We would like to keep this specific to each location, the supervisor for that area can let you know which shift they need.

  

The Work: 

  • Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.  
  • Responsible for screening walk-in patients, telephone screening (with protocols), medication/injection education, assist with procedures, cleaning wounds, dressing changes.
  • Able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as autonomously. 
  • Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel UAP in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice. 
  • May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.
