About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE Engineer to join our global Citi Markets Technology organization. In this role, you will collaborate with development teams to implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization strategies. You will also focus on applying SRE principles to improve system reliability, enhance observability, and reduce operational toil through automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with development teams to implement and improve DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using modern tools and practices
• Implement comprehensive observability solutions using Grafana, Grafana Mimir, and Prometheus
• Create and manage alerting systems using Alert Manager to ensure proactive incident response
• Identify manual processes and implement automation to reduce operational toil
• Collaborate with global teams to establish best practices for system reliability and performance
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production environments

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+years of relevant experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles
• 3+ years experience with AWS cloud services and EKS
• 3+ years experience and strong Python programming skills for automation and tooling
• 3+ years experience in container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
• 3+ years experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or Harness
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Grafana, Prometheus)
• Deep understanding of SRE principles and practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and system troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment

Desired Skills

• Experience with Go programming language
• Java development experience
• Infrastructure as code experience using Ansible and Terraform
• Experience in financial services technology environments
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent work experience
