Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. This 200 acre secure site has a quarter of a million square feet of stage space, back-lot tank, one of the largest heated underwater filming tanks in Europe and an 100 acre back-lot.

WBSL has a collection of twenty sound stages, some of which are the largest in the UK.  WB Leavesden Park, adjacent to the Studio, offers modern and flexible office space for Production Companies. The site also has its own, on-site Set Lighting & Rigging rental division, which provides the industry with state-of-the-art lighting equipment, scaffolding and production supplies for stage and location shoots.  WB De Lane Lea based in Soho, London, provides state of the art facilities in audio post-production for feature films and television.

These facilities make Warner Bros. Entertainment the only Hollywood studio to own and operate a production and post production facility in the U.K.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter showcases the authentic sets, special effects and behind-the-scenes secrets of the Harry Potter film series. Located at the Studios where all eight films were produced.            

                

Your New Role…

We have an exciting new opportunity opened in our incredible Studio Operations team. You will be providing crucial support to the Studio Operations Assistant Manager and the Client Services & Operations Department, ensuring a smooth and efficient production environment at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.

As part of this role, you will be co-ordinating activity across within stages, workshops, and backlot areas, and supervising the departmental Administration team.

We are looking for a highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills, who thrives in customer-facing environments, has the ability to manage multiple tasks, strong problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to supporting all WBSL departments, production clients and third-party stakeholders.

Role & Responsibilities…

  • Assisting the Studio Operations Senior Manager and Operations Assistant Manager in the daily operation of the site, deputising in their absence.
  • Support with managing activity in Stages, Workshops and Backlot, in accordance with operational processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance across all areas of the site.
  • Coordinate the daily site activity including general production activity, shooting activity and WB projects to the standard set by management.
  • To supervise and motivate the Studio Operations Administration team and Backlot Assistant
  • Supervise the ‘New Hires and End Hires’ process with multiple stakeholders and production clients to maintain standard and expectation across the lot.
  • Coordinate and deliver in-person Operations Handbook sessions and Stage Inductions to production clients ensuring they understand all studio procedures and policies.
  • Proactively coordinate production schedules, call sheets and movements from an operational perspective.
  • Coordinate temporary structure (cabins, containers, and marquee) approvals, landings, and utilities connections
  • Coordinating SFX tests on site and notify police, fire and/or residents when required.
  • Monitor utilities usages across the studio lot and work closely with WB departments to ensure correct allocations are being recorded for billing purposes.
  • Assist in writing and updating departmental SOPs, Operational Handbook and site policies.
  • Occasionally work unsociable hours to be the operational contact for significant out of hours shooting activity

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a small team, ensuring effective delegation of tasks
  • Strong customer-facing experience, with a demonstrated preference for face-to-face communication.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders and clients.
  • Familiarity with the day-to-day operations of studio environment.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Software.
  • Experience using software including Illustrator and Canva.
  • Full driving license
Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement, where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
