Build and Release Specialist – Azure Data & Analytics Platform Location: Hyderabad Experience Required: Minimum 5 years Education: 15 years of full-time education required Role Type: Individual Contributor Role Summary: We are looking for a hands-on Build and Release Specialist to manage and execute release cycles for our Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Power BI ecosystem. This individual will be responsible for orchestrating builds, deployments, and release governance , including active participation in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and adherence to change control processes. Key Responsibilities: Build & Release Management Manage and execute release cycles across Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Power BI platforms. Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for code, configuration, and dashboard deployments. Ensure controlled promotion of code from Development to QA, UAT, and Production environments. Change Control & Governance Prepare and present release details, risks, and mitigation plans in CAB meetings. Ensure change requests (CRs) are documented, approved, and tracked as per enterprise policies. Maintain detailed release notes and audit-ready deployment logs. Automation & Monitoring Automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual errors in the release process. Set up and monitor post-deployment validations to ensure successful releases. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with data engineers, BI developers, QA, and infrastructure teams. Coordinate release scheduling, track dependencies, and manage issue resolution across teams. Maintain a clear and up-to-date release calendar and share progress with stakeholders. Must-Have Skills: Proven experience in Build and Release Management for cloud-based data environments. Knowledge of: Azure DevOps Pipelines, Git, and YAML configurations Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Power BI Strong understanding of change control processes and CAB workflows. Familiarity with deployment validation techniques and rollback procedures. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Key Vault. Knowledge of compliance, data governance, and audit practices in enterprise environments. Scripting ability using PowerShell, Bash, or Python for deployment automation and monitoring. Ideal Candidate Profile: Detail-oriented and methodical, with a passion for process optimization. Able to work independently and proactively flag risks or blockers. Strong communicator with confidence in cross-functional coordination and CAB participation. Brings a DevOps mindset to data platform operations.
