Summary: As a Security Engineer, you will apply security skills to design, build and protect enterprise systems, applications, data, assets, and people. You will provide services to safeguard information, infrastructures, applications, and business processes against cyber threats. Your typical day will involve utilizing your expertise in Splunk Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) to ensure the security of the organization's systems and data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks, implement security measures, and respond to security incidents. Your role will play a crucial part in maintaining the security posture of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks. - Implement security measures to protect enterprise systems, applications, data, assets, and people. - Utilize Splunk Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) to monitor and analyze security events. - Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution. - Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards. - Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices. - Assist in the development and implementation of security awareness and training programs. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Splunk Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). - Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices. - Experience in implementing and managing security solutions. - Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST). - Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Splunk Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). - This position is based at our Coimbatore office. - A Bachelor or higher degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
