Job Purpose:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Creation of test plans and test cases and carrying out procedures to ensure that all products and services meet or exceed organization standards and business-user requirements.

The candidate will interact with project stakeholders (IT, Project Lead, Underwriting, Product Development, Product Implementation and Project End-Users) to handle any possible concerns or discrepancies regarding testing.

Primary Job Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

Testing, Debugging, and Test Management 80%

· Create UAT test plans for lower complexity projects assigned by Testing Team Supervisor or Director.

· Ensure all requirements of assigned lower complexity projects are transformed into executable test cases.

· Execute tests to validate that the software and products comply with standards and documented requirements.

· Log and track defects from initial discovery to closure.

· Planning and execution of Functional, Regression and User Acceptance testing.

· Post-implementation validation. Communication 10%

· Interacts with project stakeholders (IT, Project Lead, Underwriting, Product Development, Product Implementation, and Project End-Users) to handle any possible concerns or discrepancies regarding requirements, product specifications and/or product setup.

· Attend daily Scrum Meetings and any other required meetings.

· Work with end-users and other appropriate project stakeholder to address any failed test cases. Administrative 5%

· Add, update, and modify metrics daily.

· Perform any other duties as requested by the Testing Team Supervisor or Director. Development 5%

· Actively participate in the development of personal performance management plans

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SalesForce application
  • Knowledge in testing/project management tools (Quip, JIRA, HP Quality Center)
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask and coordinate several competing priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient at reading and interpreting requirements and design documents
  • Must have demonstrated working knowledge of functional test execution
  • Must be able to create test plans based on software requirements
  • Must be able to create test cases based on business and technical specifications
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to work in a dynamically changing environment, as part of a team, with minimal direction
  • Must have critical thinking skills
