The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist – Emergency Medicine at Fairview Hospital practices in a decentralized clinical pharmacy model with active, on-site coverage in the Emergency Department. This role supports high-volume ED patient care through real-time medication therapy monitoring, clinical consults and direct collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams. Responsibilities include responding to urgent clinical needs, supporting inpatient acute care needs interfacing with the ED and providing medication therapy management with a strong focus on safety. The specialist applies advanced clinical decision-making, communicates effectively in high-acuity environments and demonstrates the ability to multitask and reprioritize in a fast-paced setting while supporting Emergency Medicine service lines and overall patient care.
A caregiver in this position works Monday through Friday, either the morning shift from 7:00am to 5:00pm or night shift from 3:00pm to 1:00am. Requirements include every 3rd weekend from 8:30am to 9:00pm.
