Job Summary

Provides supervisory direction for the area wide Family Planning Program and department employees. Establishes goals and objectives, policies and procedures, prepares and administers the department budget and provides client and community education. Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates a clear understanding of core business structures, systems, practices, trends, and technologies within our current industry and of those in which we choose to compete in the future.
• Ensures new ideas are adopted and implemented to continually support the Healthcare mission while successfully accomplishing those goals the organization must attain for its strategy to succeed. Ensures employees share knowledge, understand decisions and the reasons why decisions are made and implemented.
• Creates an environment in which people feel valued, respected, and energized to explore new methods of doing business, generating revenue, and taking calculated risks. Develops employees based on linkage to business requirements and ensures employees are competent to manage change.
• Assist in staff hire/fire, disciplinary process. Schedules staff to ensure that properly trained staff is available to provide quality resident care.
• Assist in the development of the annual operating budget and capital budget. Ensure that Department operations stay within operating and capital budgets.
• Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures as well as documentation forms in collaboration with appropriate Directors and/or Committees to promote current evidence-based practice in trauma care and in the delivery of nursing services to patients.
• Counsels and Educates Family Planning clients in basic reproductive Healthcare.
• All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Required:
Education - Bachelors degree in Nursing

Preferred:
Experience - 1+ years of Family Planning Experience; 1+ years of Program Administration Experience; 1+ years of Supervisor Experience

Physical Requirements:
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
