Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

Internship Duration: May 2025 – December 2025 or April 2026 (8 or 12months)

We are looking for a Software Analyst Intern to join our team in Toronto!

The Software Analyst Intern will work within the IS Product development team, responsibilities will include development, analysis, automation and testing against the CBTC requirements in Hitachi Rail Canada.
 

Key Accountabilities

• Behavioral - Positive 'can do' attitude - Customer delivery focused with excellent communication skills

• Develop software components and testing for the features allocated in the system

• Develop supporting scripts that will enhance/automate current engineering infrastructure and applications
   

Key Requirements

• Must have completed a minimum of two academic years in a Bachelor's degree program or one year of a Master's in IT, Computer Application Engineering, or related fields in Electronics and Computer Software.

• C++ coding exposure and AUTOSR MISRA C++ standards, OOPS concepts

• Scripting (Python), automation

• The ability to work 40 hours a week in a hybrid environment for the duration of the internship, with at least 2 days in the office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Co-op student available for an 8-12 month term, with at least one additional quarter or semester of coursework remaining after the completion of the internship.

• Experience with JIRA

• Experience with GIT/ BitBucket

• Experience with Artifactory

• Experience with Jenkins / Continuous Integration

• Experience with Virtualisation (VMware, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
