Job Description:

SUMMARY: Responsible for greeting customers in a courteous, friendly manner, and promoting specific Retail items, thereby ensuring that consistent revenue is generated in the Retail. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all time. Welcomes customers to the Retail in a friendly, courteous manner. Becomes familiar with all Retail items and inventory, and provides assistance and information to customers. Operates the cash register to accept payment for retail sales in the form of cash, credit, and complimentaries, making correct change as required and balancing cash register at closing or end of shift. Maintains a neat, clean and completely stocked work area. Ensures proper inventory control, by maintaining accurate records of merchandise sold and stock on hand. Maintains a working knowledge of facilities and special and upcoming events on property, in order to advise customers of same, whenever possible. Communicates important, relevant information to following shift. Assists the Retail Supervisor and Retail Manager in creating and setting up displays of merchandise. Works to achieve and maintain a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction. Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings. Inspects merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced and displayed. Preforms vending machines drops, collecting cash from vending machine sales and balancing to vending machine revenue receipts. Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record. Performs any reasonable request made by management. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have worked for a minimum of six months to one year in a retail environment or customer service industry. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess effective communication skills. Must be flexible with schedule to work days, nights, swing shifts, weekends and holidays. Must be friendly and have excellent guest service skills. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
