About the Role

The Patient Services Clerk is accountable for providing clerical support and facilitating patient management within Clinical Neurosciences.  The PSC will be involved in booking appointments, reception duties, delivering customer service of a high standard and providing high level administration assistance to the Neurosciences Consulting Rooms.

This position will include a wide range of duties including dealing with patient information, telephone enquiries, , making appointments and liaising with patients, doctors, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team

Classification for this position will be HS2 - HS21 ($66,768 - $73,811 per annum pro rata) dependent on experience within public health

Your Contribution

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a healthcare setting
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly developed customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve

About Clinical Neurosciences

Clinical Neurosciences is a multidisciplinary unit dedicated to improving the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders. The unit provides a complete clinical and diagnostic service and maintains a strong research focus principally centred on epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease and movement disorders.
