Corporate Affairs reinforces Sanofi’s corporate reputation and contribute to transforming healthcare policy ecosystem through strategic stakeholder engagement and external affairs. Corporate Affairs creates ‘play to win’ momentum by designing and implementing Public Affairs, External/internal Communications, CSR, and Patient Advocacy initiatives.

As part of this team, the Public Affairs Sr.Specialist, South Korea plays a key role in supporting the execution of public affairs strategies across both pharma and vaccine portfolios. This role works at the intersection of policy, stakeholder engagement, and patient advocacy - contributing to a more favorable healthcare environment for patients and the business in South Korea.

Main responsibilities:

l   Develop and execute public affairs initiatives to shape the favorable policy and external environment for pharma/vaccine business growth

l   Implement strategic policy shaping activities through targeted external stakeholder engagement with National Assembly, patient advocacy groups, and medical societies for new launches and growth assets 

l   Develop and maintain stakeholder mapping of priority policy influencers and patient advocacy group leaders to support strategic stakeholder engagement activities

l   Enhance Sanofi’s industry leadership position among key external stakeholders through policy and environment shaping for a better ecosystem, while accelerating the patient’s better access to innovative solutions

l   Manage relationships and communications with patient advocacy groups to support business priorities and ensure alignment with global activities

l   Monitor and analyze policy developments that impact pharmaceutical and vaccine market access

l   Provide policy insights, patient journey insights, and unmet needs analysis to inform business strategy and decision-making process

l   Support improvements to access regulations and identify new routes to market opportunities

l   Work across the business to identify cross-cutting policy priorities for the country’s business and ensure alignment of external messaging and public affairs activities

l   Manage and coordinate public affairs and patient advocacy programs

l   Ensure compliance with KRPIA code, relevant laws and regulations, and internal policies in all stakeholder interactions

About you

Experience:

l   8-10 years experience of successfully executing a pharma and vaccine Public Affairs responsibilities to deliver towards the company strategy

Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Broad-based knowledge of the Sanofi’s pharma/vaccine portfolio, strategy, company, and services

  • Solid understanding of Korea’s political and healthcare policy environment, Public Affairs field, and healthcare industry landscape

Stakeholder Management:

l   Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build trusted relationships across National Assembly, patient advocacy groups, and medical societies

l   Demonstrated track record of policy shaping activities in the Korean healthcare environment

l   Success in managing complex stakeholder relationships to achieve business objectives

Collaboration & Influence:

l   Demonstrated ability to work effectively in matrix organizations and drive cross-functional collaboration

l   Proven capability to influence and leverage knowledge internally to optimize opportunities and achieve shared goals

Communication:

l   Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities

l   Fluent both in Korean and English
