Job Description:

SCOPE :

Prepares and inputs monthly journal entries; reconciles balance sheet accounts; prepares monthly financial statements; assists with month-end closing of accounting records; calculates monthly depreciation journal entries; maintains fixed asset records and cash collection spreadsheets; assists with annual budget process and analysis of budget variance; provides backup for payroll processing; and performs special projects as requested by Accounting Director.

FUNCTIONS:

1.    Assists in the month-end closing of accounting records for all companies in order to provide timely financial statements to the CFO/CEO.

2.   Independently performs reconciliations and provides accurate backup for all balance sheet accounts, upon request.

3.   Maintains daily cash collection spreadsheets for all companies.

4.    Perform special projects upon request from Accounting Director, or CFO/CEO.
5.    Act as a back up in processing payroll runs.
6.    Assist with preparation of requested information for the annual audit and tax returns.
7.    Independently perform bank statement reconciliations of cash and investment accounts and reconcile other GL accounts. 
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.        

Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience.

Working knowledge of Great Plains accounting software and Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
Should be familiar with General Ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
