Mechanics Bank is seeking their next Sr. Network Engineer to sit out of our Roseville, Walnut Creek or Irvine office. Here at Mechanics Bank, we value connection, partnership, long term relationships and working together in person.

Under supervision/general guidance, to analyze, maintain, and troubleshoot network architecture for optimization, efficient traffic flow, maximum systems availability, and interfacing to third party communication providers to ensure maximum through put and availability for the Bank’s information systems resources and applications. Provide network support to ITOps, SecOps, and IT DevOps teams as needed.

What you will be doing:

  • Design and implement network infrastructure. Track security vulnerabilities. Track audit requirements. Develop and assist in maintenance of all network infrastructure related systems and applications, while troubleshooting network performance issues.
  • Document the current and target environment with required documentation.
  • Manage the network monitoring/alerting systems, review performance logs and monitoring system performance while responding to alerts and incidents as required.
  • Perform installation and maintenance of WAN and LAN equipment.
  • Responsible for all router, switch and firewall maintenance and upgrades.

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in network engineering.
  • Demonstrable CCNP/CCIE level or higher experience is required.
  • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Bachelor's degree preferably in computer sciences or related field preferred, or comparable work experience.
  • Extensive and hands-on experience with: Installing, maintaining Cisco switch, routers, Meraki, Firewalls, Cisco ISE, Cisco SDWAN and SD-Access.
  • TCP/IP Routing protocols with Cisco Technologies, including MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DMVPN, OMP.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP protocols.
  • Knowledge and experience of operating system architectures, characteristics, commands and components applicable to computer platforms/operating environments, including (but not limited to): Cisco routers/switches, Firewalls - Adaptive Security Appliances (ASA), Firepower, Palo Alto and Fortinet, Cisco ISE, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI, Meraki, Splunk, AAA
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with no supervision.
  • Ability to stay current, learn and implement new technologies and responsibilities.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $150,000 annually

Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
