Job Description:

The tasks you'll be responsible for include:

  • Assist with monthly management accounts preparation, including transactional postings and to maintain up to date and timely accounts across all modules.
  • Ensuring all modules all closed as per deadlines given and implement process efficiencies proactively wherever possible.
  • Assist with processing of monthly journals, accruals, cost allocations, account reconciliations and balance sheet analysis.
  • Ensuring ‘PO-Receipt-Invoice matching’ processes are followed with the shared service team, souring and local teams.
  • Assist in UK and EU VAT compliance, ensuring timely and accurate submission of VAT Returns.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts in advance of filing deadlines.
  • Assist with year-end statutory audits, group audits, internal audits, VAT assessments, data requirement by National Statistics department and any other requirements. 
  • Assist in preparation of cost estimates, calculation, and analysis of product manufacturing costs for the company.
  • Assist in creation of ‘Bill of Materials’ and recipes for production and costing in the system.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Ensure adherence to appropriate controls within all accounting processes and maintain up-to-date process notes and documentation.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with local departments and our international headquarters
  • Assist in inventory stock counts at the warehouse / 3PLs along with warehouse team and with site visits to validate the accuracy of inventory.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, etc.
  • Assist and cover areas during finance manager/controllers' absence.

To be successful for this Financial Accountant role you will ideally need to have the following:

  • Qualified, semi qualified accounting professional with management accounts and financial reporting experience.
  • An attitude to deliver.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel (pivot, lookups, etc.), PowerPoint, Word.
  • Experience working for a global company with multi-currency knowledge.
